A very special Father's Day

Captain Husband arrived from South Korea yesterday afternoon and it seems that my nervousness about Sammy seeing his dad for the first time in nearly a year was unwarranted.  He took to his dad like a fish to water.

We then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening playing while Sammy and CH got to know each other better.  We even managed to squeeze in some walking practice:


It was such a great day and I have a feeling that the rest of the week is going to be pretty amazing. (I apologize in advance if I'm a bit slow on responding to comments and getting to everyone's blogs this week; thanks for understanding!)

i heart faces: Pets

This week's photo contest over at i heart faces is pet faces; last weekend Sammy and I headed up to Chester County, Pennsylvania, to visit with Captain Husband's mother, Pat. While there I was able to snap a photo of Pat's cat, Sweetums, in front of the Christmas tree.  I love the way that she's looking right into the camera.
