A certain someone is very happy sleeping in his big boy bed. And another certain someone (me) is very happy that he's taken to the transition so well. It took Sammy about two nights (and two minor falls) to get the hang of it and he's been sleeping through the night without incident ever since. The only downside so far is that Sammy is now consistently getting up for the morning at about 6:45 am...a full hour and a half earlier than he used to when he was confined to his crib. While Sammy may be a morning person, I most certainly am not. But I have to admit that I'm slowly beginning to appreciate the extra hour or so that I now have to get things done around the house. However if anyone has any ideas on how to get Sammy back to sleeping in again like he used to, let me know!
P.S. A few of you wanted to know where my mom found the adorable bedding set for Sammy--surprise, surprise, it's from Target!

funny enough, we found that with the transition to the big boy bed a new bed time was established and while I'm not sure I'm happy with the later bed time, it certainly makes it easier in the AM because he sleeps in:) He's down by 9:00 (was 7:30!) and up at 7:30 (was 6 or so).
Dude. 6:45 is an awesome wakeup time. Maeve is usually up at 6!
I have heard that kiddos often get up earlier after the crib to bed transition simply because they can get up when they want and prior they would sleep longer because they were confined. A lot of my friends use the a clock that lights up when the kids can come out but, S might be too little for that still. I'll probably use that for D when she is older though:). Good luck and so glad he has transitioned so well!
Way to go Big Boy what a beautiful little happy face.
Man that's sleeping in to me! But he's doing so good! Yay! Love that happy face.
