Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like I was going non-stop. While Sammy napped in the morning, I wrote a
post for the NoVa Mommies' blog (something I hadn't contributed to in a few months), folded and put away laundry, worked on the banner I'm making for my friend's baby shower this weekend, and edited some photos. Once Sammy was up, it was time to start tackling the to-do list. Here's what was on the agenda:
- Drop off trunk-load of stuff at the Purple Heart donation collection
- Return too-small clothing Sammy received for Christmas
- Check out twin-size mattress prices/availability
- Buy a 1/8" hole punch at Michaels and finish making the banner for the baby shower
- Check out humidifiers for Sammy's room at Bed, Bath & Beyond
- Buy baby shower gift at Target
Guess what? Everything on this list got crossed off and completed in about four hours (with a lunch break in there for me and Sammy). But it didn't end there: I wound up buying a mattress at Ikea (the reasonable price and the fact that my mom will be here this weekend and my mother-in-law will be here next weekend helped make my mind up) and some new bedding for it while I was at Target. As soon as we got home (and Sammy was changed and had eaten again), I set up the new mattress in the office. It's actually beginning to look like a cozy little guest room in there.
After I gave Sammy a bath and put him to bed, I caught up on a few emails and folded the rest of Sammy's clean clothing while the diapers were being washed; then I finished the banner for the baby shower. I was so caught up in taking care of my to-do list that I totally forgot to eat dinner; I wound up enjoying a gourmet meal of Honey Nut Cheerios at about 10 pm, which was followed up by washing Sammy's bottles and taking out the trash. On today's agenda? Being a couch potato. I think I earned the day off.

Enjoy that couch!
I love those kind of productive days - always feel like I sleep really well after one! Unfortunately, I don't think I've had one in quite some time, and its beginning to show in my house - its a disaster!
Yup - you definitely deserve a rest. I like the bedding, btw.
A productive day indeed! Sammy is good at traveling. What a cute guest bedroom! I love colors.
How were you able to do ALL that in one day? that's like my to-do list for a week! Haha.
