Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Frageelay (must be Italian)

{Everything in the house is packed up and ready to go.  Now it's just a matter of the movers tackling our 3098237 stairs and getting all of the boxes and furniture onto their truck.  Having moved most of my belongings into this place on my own, I don't envy the day that they have in front of them.  It's going to be so weird to see our house completely emptied out; I teared up a few times while I was taking Sammy's room apart.  So many of my little family's firsts have occurred here: the first time our respective families met each other, first holidays spent together, first deployment, first reintegration, first baby, first steps, first birthday, etc.  I know we'll make new memories in our El Paso home but that doesn't fully ease the dull ache that I have in my heart about leaving the place that I've called home for the last three-and-a-half years.}

Awww. This made me tear up. Also made me kind of not want to sell my house.

PCSing is ridiculously difficult and takes a lot out of your soul. Every place you leave will have so many memories. Rest assured, you will be making more memories. You will soon point to places in the new house where you did this/that and Sammy reached a milestone. You carry a piece of every duty station and special people you meet in your heart with each move. It sucks now but will ease up once your adventure begins. Wishing you the best of luck.

We've had a few PSCs where we were sad to leave, however we had a few that we got packed up, hopped in the car and said, 'Let's get the flip out of here!' I'm always amazed at the movers - they make it look so freaking easy, try not to be jealous as you watch them nimbly carry your heavy stuff down stairs. :)

Awwww I hate moving in general but you really have a big move on your hands. I know you're going to completely rock out El Paso!

I love your Christmas Story reference! Oh, I don't envy you since I suck at moving. Actually, I suck before the move, fretting, worrying, ruminating...once I've moved, I'm fine. It's getting over the hump.

Thinking of you!

It has to be hard, but you are starting a new adventure. I can't wait to read about it.
